     Who is Sound Design? Sound Design is a Jackson, Mississippi based mobile DJ company that specializes in affordable DJed music. With that being said, where are we from, how did we get our start, and what makes us do what we do?

     My name is Rocco. I’m originally from Chicago, IL, but I spent most of my childhood and all of my adulthood in Mississippi. I’ve always loved music, but didn’t get my start in DJing until I was in my early 20’s. I’m a teacher by day and a DJ by night.

     I got into DJing when my Student Council students wanted to throw a fundraiser dance. When shopping around for a DJ for the dance I was overwhelmed by the exorbitant cost to hire a DJ. I decided I could do the job myself and did. We had a great time and what I thought would be a one-time thing turned into two years of DJing every dance the school had. Word got around my school district and one of our sister schools called and asked if I would DJ their prom, and Sound Design was born.

     It is Sound Design’s goal to provide you with the best musical experience for your money. Our aim is to bring you a customizable solution to fit all of your musical needs. We specialize in weddings/wedding receptions, private parties, school functions, and fundraisers.
